Our Story

It all began with a pop up book shop. My wife, Jo Piazza is a bestselling author with a charismatic penchant for building community around books. We started our Pop Up book shop in the Spruceton Valley and have taken it to cities and towns around the east coast and beyond.

Everywhere we go we make friends, find new readers, and spread joy. The Catskills Book Festival is a way of extending our reach to the wider world, bringing more wonderful writers into the forefront and having a lot of fun while we’re at it. Won’t you join us?

Join Steven & Jon for a fun story hour giving kids the chance to create their own stories, illustrations and all, with two of the most well known children’s authors around.
